For the record, straw yellow in color, a hint of sweetness, and nice acidity (I hate flabby sparkling wines). The bubblies are more of a mousse than bigger bubbles, and that’s a good thing. I suspect this has had some ageing, in that we have that hint of, I don’t know, maderization? That may also explain a bit of the straw yellow color. But that’s not a bad thing here; perhaps I need better Champaign taste training (it’s not like Joy’s offerings).

I have ordered Aimrey cases twice before (April 23rd and May 26th mystery offer) and have always been pleased.
The varietal mix is slightly different from previous offerings (previous: 65% Chardonnay, 25% Chenin, 10% Pinot Noir; this offering: 60% Chardonnay, 30% Chenin Blanc, 10% Pinot Noir), but I don’t think that will make much of a difference. I trust the wine makers judgement on this. After all wine is a natural product and variability and slight adjustments to maintain the overall quality are to be expected.
I enjoy sparkling wines a lot, and this one is a good choice at a favorable price point.
@ScottW58 why shouldn’t it be? The info should be readily available AND it would objectively be a better barometer for perceived dryness than anything else . . .

Has anyone in Florida had luck with the 2-day shipping? I really don’t want to buy cooked wine, but I really would like to buy a case of this. I’m concerned that just 6 hours in a hot truck will be enough to damage the wine. And that’s IF they actually deliver in 2 days. I’ve often had my 2-day shipments delayed by a day or two.
Got mine today. Can’t wait to try it. Beautiful bottle, will make great gifts and great for bringing to parties. Kind of tough to get out of the foam container. Be patient, rock back and forth while pulling; it will come out in a few seconds. Use a little pixie dust if you have it. You have to believe in your heart that you can get it out.

The problem with not knowing the dosage is that the sensation of sweetness or dryness is subjective . . .

@wardad If it’s anything like the sparkling wines that were in the mixed import cases, twisting the bottles as you pulled up seemed to help.
