BRYTER Estates Amoroso is a blend of Sangiovese from Santa Ynez Valley, Tempranillo from Paso Robles and Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. We took the best of
each of these varietals and regions to create the perfect blend to be enjoyed with all of life’s celebrations!
This wine is perfect with Italian dishes, pizzas, pastas with red sauce, game and meat dishes.
Fresh, ripe, bold fruit aromas, wrapped around notes of baking spice, with a hint of vanilla. On first sip, the focused red fruit dominates the core of this complex yet approachable wine. Medium-bodied, it is round and juicy, loaded with sweet cherry, ripe plums and a bit of earthy spice. Extremely food-friendly, this wine finishes with smooth, fine-grained tannins, and will leave you wanting another sip.
Vintage and Winemaker Notes
A long and moderate growing season; no heat waves or heavy rain – like Goldilocks… it wasn’t too cold, it wasn’t too warm… it was “just right”. We had larger crop yields than we expected, and the overall quality was superb. The near perfect weather enabled us to make what could be our best wines ever!
“Amoroso” means “loving” in Italian. It is Terin’s maiden name. Terin chose to name this red blend after her family in honor of the wine she used to make at home with her father and grandfather in Chicago. Enjoy now through 2020.
Founded in 2007, BRYTER is a boutique family-owned winery specializing in premium handcrafted wines from the best vineyards in California. The name BRYTER (pronounced “brighter”) is the marriage of our founders’ first names, Bryan and Terin, and it perfectly describes our outlook on life – brighter! Terin works closely with our consulting winemaker, Kari Auringer, to create perfectly balanced and elegant wines to share with you for all of life’s celebrations.
Producing approximately 2,000 cases of wine a year, we handpick, hand sort, and handcraft each bottle with passion and care. Our limited-production wines sell out each year exclusively through allocation via our wine club and mailing list. Our flagship wine is our award-winning Inspired Cabernet Sauvignon, but we produce a full complement of amazing wines from world-renowned vineyards in Napa and Sonoma.
BRYTER has received many awards, including 95+ points from Robert Parker, 90+ points on all of our Pinot Noir, “Best Cabernet Sauvignon of California,” and “Best Cabernet Sauvignon of Napa” at the California State Fair for our 98-point 2009 Inspired Cabernet Sauvignon.
We invite you to discover why the wine critics love us and why our wine club members and guests are so loyal. We hope you enjoy our wines as much as we enjoy the journey of bringing them to you.

Good Evening~ I’m one of the for this selection. Coming in late because I was out of town at a graduation this weekend and just picked up the package from FedEx this evening. Completely honored and appreciative. Sadly, no time for a detailed review since there are only a couple hours left. Sad that we can’t get into the nuances, but hopefully we’ll get another opportunity to test someday.
Initial impression: Nose- cocoa and vanilla. First taste- dry, ripe cherries, savory, and very drinkable. We poured and waited about 45 mins while we made our Hello Fresh It was a nice treat for us on a Tuesday, but I can’t say it was as complex as described. Two words: smooth and juicy. It was a good straightforward dinner wine that we drank pretty fast, agreed that it was “really good” and finished greedily despite the fact that we agreed to re-cork and save half for tomorrow. In my point system it gets…90/91pts .

I like the new approach of not having a buy button. Very 2018.
@jeffcohen I like the new approach for reporting website issues. Equal parts sarcasm and passive aggression.
@billmort Yeah, I was just having fun with the situation. I figured the powers that be were aware of the missing button.
We’re working on it.
{Should be working now.}
Can you share the pricing details in the meantime?
@chipgreen
$79.99 for 3 bottles
$249.99 for a case
@Thumperchick Thank you
Sorry about this, a few technical issues but I’m working on them now.
[Edit] I think everything’s working fine now.
Just checking to see if it’s really as dead here as it seems…
@rjquillin
We’re all busy drinking our wine on a holiday weekend! Well get back to it today…
@johnnelson7333 @rjquillin .
I agree. Where are the rats?
Do we have a drinking window on this one?
It’s intriguing. Hopefully a few rats will chime in.
@cbrehman The winemaker notes above say to drink now through 2020.
Also hoping for some rats . . .

Thanks for the report! Our rat system is not perfect. Our other rat had moved.
Too bad, this is a fantastic small lot Wine for the price. Loved the producer podcast.
