Going to place my Rattage here, in the “Hold” Offering, and maybe in the “Immediately” Offering as well, idk…
This has been an often previously offered Rosé (August of 2024 was most recent that can easily be considered a fan favorite. This year’s incarnation is no exception.
The lovely Peach colored and brilliantly clear Rosé is happily pressed from my favorite grape, Grenache. The wine expresses all of the lovely fruit character that I enjoy from the grape: zesty melon, fresh honeysuckle, and sweet red fruit. There is a noticeable lack of tannin forward pithiness that you sometimes get with Rosé, but that is because the wine is well balanced, not overly sweet and fruity to a fault. Very drinkable, lovely bottle, certainly a hit on any patio this summer; check, check, and check. I fully understand waiting til October, but I feel you’d be missing out on the best Summer months to enjoy this steal!
@klezman@rjquillin@Winedavid49 Well damn, pinch me, Hallelujah! I’ll definitely be using that coupon code on an offer! I’m sure this took some doing, it’s quite a change to the business model. A welcome addition, and in my humble elevates this forum more than a few notches in the wine flash site realm. I’m honored…ha! Nicely done.
@mattykillpatty one thing at a time, eh? Revel in the summer hold and worry about comment sections later
(But yes, obviously you’re right they need to be merged)
@klezman@mattykillpatty@rjquillin Except casemates.com is going to the locked thread. Takes awhile to find this one…might want to put a link to this offer thread in the body of the locked thread…or whatever it is I’m trying to say…

I have no idea why the other wasn’t just amended with the hold info, but two active is madness.
How much more are you saving by buying a full case?
(Note: tax and shipping are not included in savings calculations.)
2022 DAOU Discovery Collection Rosé - $10 = 9.08%
Anyone else getting a coupon code invalid message? I tried on both the summer hold and normal option. Member since 2021 and account dates back many years prior…
@jeffmarazoni
Use coupon code KAOLISCAVE to save $10 on this or any other Casemates event this summer. (One use per account, account must have been created before 6/9/2025, coupon expires 8/31/2025.)
@kawichris650@rjquillin@Winedavid59
Although if the person implementing site tools would be the same one who decided that two nearly identical discussion threads for every offer was a better idea than simply adding a drop-down selection box for summer hold during checkout, we may be better off without them!
Coupon didn’t work, but I pulled the trigger anyway. We always enjoy this one, and it’s an excellent deal even without the coupon.
/giphy worrisome-husky-vinegar
I purchased a case on the previous offer, just had a bottle of it a week or so ago. I actually prefer my rosé with a little more zip/acid but this is still tasty and going strong. And the notes of strawberry and melon are spot on
I still have some of these from the last order of two cases (I’m a big lover of Rosé, especially in the summer), but it looks like I can stop hoarding them. After my two amazing Mystery Warehouse cases, I figured I was done buying any wine for awhile, but couldn’t pass on this offer.
@winedavid59
Apologies if this has been asked and answered….
If we buy for shipping now, is it what we used to call summer shipping? In styrofoam, two day air, or what we’ve been getting recently (pressed cardboard, about a week from ship to deliver, at least here in FL)?
Made from gently pressed Grenache grapes in the classic Old World style, the 2022 Rosé presents a pretty pale flamingo hue with scintillating aromas of fresh strawberry, guava, crème brûlée, and honeysuckle. Subtle hyacinth and ginger notes are accompanied by cranberry, rhubarb, cherry blossom, and lemon meringue. The palate is exquisitely balanced, displaying a lush, crisp juiciness with flavors of ripe strawberry, papaya, nectarine, and mandarin orange. Hints of spiced peach, mango, and watermelon are complemented by red delicious apple, kiwi, apricot, and honeydew melon, all cascading into a clean, refreshing finish.
THE VINTAGE
DAOU wines represent our passion for approachable luxury. Winemaker Daniel Daou has cultivated deep connections with select Paso Robles growers for numerous vintages, allowing him to maintain absolute quality and consistency. The 2022 growing season was initially marked by winter drought conditions that were alleviated by rains in late March and April—a miracle happenstance that replenished the soils and set the pace for healthy vine canopies to come. A later-than-usual bud break was followed by normal spring and summer weather patterns through August. Finally, a September heat wave prompted an early harvest that put Daniel’s ingenuity, artistry, and experience to the test. In the end, 2022 was a winemaker’s vintage, yielding elegantly flavorful and balanced wines that prove the importance of mastering grape growing and winemaking.
Family owned and operated, DAOU Family Estates is committed to producing collectible, world-class wines to rival the most respected appellations in the world. Situated on a 212-acre hilltop Estate in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, our remarkable geology, favorable microclimate, and high elevation were once described by renowned California Winemaker André Tchelistcheff, as “a jewel of ecological elements.” As stewards of this beautiful terroir, DAOU’s goal is to make unique fine wines that honestly and accurately reflect the potential of the Estate and to craft Bordeaux-style wines that combine Old World tradition with New World techniques.
As young men, brothers Georges and Daniel Daou shared the same dream: to live a life in wine. Their dream prevailed years later when they discovered what would become known as DAOU Mountain, an untapped world-class terroir in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles.
Ever since, they have poured their souls into creating some of California’s most noteworthy wines while cultivating a guest experience to match. In the end, DAOU is about family - and the truth that nothing brings people together like wine.

Thank you, thank you for the Summer Hold Option! Nothing so crazy-making as getting a case of fine reserve that’s been sitting in a scalding 140F delivery van in downtown Bakersfield all weekend because the driver only comes up on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
I had this before and what a refreshing wine for the summer. Last time i bought a case and gave away for housewarmings. Now this is for me. Glad to see finally no more mixes of wines. Cant wait!
So this is what @winedavid59 is doing with the space created by the mystery case blowout
@davirom I had the exact same thought

While the summer hold is a welcome and long overdue option, does this mean that 2-day summer shipping no longer exists?
@chipgreen this is an important question
@chipgreen @klezman @kawichris650 @winedavid59
let’s tag WD on this one down thread as well.
Summer hold option!
Hoping it’s not just a one-off for this offer…
Thanks @kaolis and WineDavid for making this happen
@rjquillin it’s not
@rjquillin @Winedavid49 well done WD!
And great coupon code. I hope @kaolis buys one to celebrate!

Will the two comment sections be linked or will we need to go between them both to see what people are saying about the wine?
And, yay for coupons!

Nope, no linking; this is the thread.

@Mark_L As mentioned by @ilCesare in the now-locked parallel thread:
Considerable price drop compared to the previous offer.

@Mjmwahoo06 Same happened to me.
@Mjmwahoo06 Try it again - I got it working.
Yep, the code is working now. Thank you @Thumperchick

If I order multiple cases of “summer hold” wine this summer, will they all be shipped out at the same time in October?
@TimW it’ll be just like garagiste when you whole year of buying shows up on one truck. It’s super fun!
Wow, never thought I’d see the day….
Then again, it’s a very big warehouse!

Coupon code not working for me either, but really like this wine for the summer, so in for a case.
