After digging through every BD offer I decided the qpr of wines I’ve purchased here is at least comparable if not better than (most of) those offered during BD. The steaks were tempting but Costco’s prime NY strips are pretty good at less than a third the price.
@DanNC Almost none of the wines you’d find there will ever be available here. But you’re right, the value proposition is usually lower than what you get here.
Flannery is nothing like Costco USDA Prime. Dry ageing dramatically changes the flavour and texture of beef. You may or may not prefer it, but I strongly prefer it. To the point where I will buy a whole subprimal of Prime from Costco and dry age it myself.

I could not disagree with this statement more! “But you’re right, the value proposition is usually lower than what you get here”. Except the Flannery part
@DanNC I just discovered this a couple months ago. Looked over Costco Steaks over the years but never bought, because I could usually find deals elsewhere. Was looking it over a couple months ago and noticed just a couple packs of prime NY string for (I think) $10.99. I grabbed some figuring it must be a mistake. But the price keeps coming back. They usually have just a couple of them. That some real steak love for $11/lb. Jeez my kids are spoiled. I had well-cooked round steak when I was a kid.
You really need to dig deep to find great values. I appreciate BD because wines are truly boutique for the most part. I learned what to look for from Socal peeps over the years.
I got a case of Campesino (half grenache and other half syrah) for $200 delivered. And a case of Wild Farm for 50 percent off and FS. Never had their wines but great reviews from Berserker s
Are the Grassl glasses discounted until the end of the week? Or did I read the post incorrectly? I’ve heard good reviews, thinking of picking up a couple…
It was all too high-end and confusing for me. I’m just a schlub who gulps Anne Amie, Pedroncelli and Winesmith (but only at Casemates prices.)
@KitMarlot music to my ears!
@Winedavid49 You get some of them on here (like Emily from Virage) and plenty of people will pounce.
@klezman @Winedavid49
She has been, and they did.

@losthighwayz
The few wines that I have had from Wild Farm have been great.
