Yes. We had this implementation at first (before Casemates), at fairly high effort/expense and we were proud of it. Shawn set it up the way Google and YouTube handle it between their domains. One problem is that is doesn’t work well for more than 2 or 3 sites but even with 2 it creates dependencies that otherwise are unnecessary. With our plan and needs for independent reliability (like when a big show hits on MorningSave) we had to remove the round-robin log in code.
@f00l we’ve had some innovations but otherwise key is that we’re good at finding and securing deals that work. That was an overlooked aspect of Woot actually. I started the preceding business in 1994 (a few weeks before Bezos started Amazon!) and we spent 10 years figuring out the risk taking dynamics of clearance inventory.

@f00l Joe Born was really fun to work with (Neuros founder) and has since bought and revived the Aiwa brand to some success (see some speakers on Amazon) We need a “Not Meh” feature name for launches, or an entirely different launch site!
@f00l I didn’t try changing whether or not my profile is hidden but all of the other settings I changed on Casemates were also changed on meh, so I’m thinking shared.

@snapster could just go with something SAML, say Shibboleth.
@snapster
Was Mediocre the first or most effective innovator in the MorningSave-type arena?
It’s really quite interesting, biz-wise. Tho not my anti-scheduled-video (sourced from anywhere) cup o’ tea.
Would be glad to hear that MorningSave is the premier “there” there. Hope that’s true.
Hope it flies like a satellite.

I hope you haven’t totally given up on the idea of an occasional seriously cool product launch over on Meh.
Or on some site of yours.
At the time, I didn’t know about Woot. But I allways wanted a Neuros media player, back then.

Q:.
If someone sets profile privacy settings on oneediocre site, do those carry over for all sites?
Or are those privacy settings independent, site-to-site?
@f00l I didn’t try changing whether or not my profile is hidden but all of the other settings I changed on Casemates were also changed on meh, so I’m thinking shared.
Edit: the hidden profile setting is also shared…
@baqui63
Based in no testing but some observation, kinda expected.
But if not, thought it might be worth a mention.
Hope profile/privacy issues are mentioned in the legendary and somewhat mythical FAQ.
