Yeah, my journey with wine started with a 2004 split of Masi Amarone given to me by my daughter’s and led to a recent $325 bottle of 2009 Dal Forno Amarone for an anniversary.
I’ve got a 3L bottle of 2010 giuseppe quintarelli sitting in the cellar waiting for my 25th anniversary (I think that’s what it was for?) and a few bottles of inexpensive 2015 I picked up from Costco not long ago. Not a varietal I’ve had a lot of but definitely one I enjoy.
