So I had a case of the Slingshot 2016 CS, and went to try and find a bottle to remind myself of what it was like…And yeah, it’s entirely gone. So, definitely a buy for me.

Previous vintages have been solid. The case price here is less than what I paid for the 2012 or 2013. I was hoping for rats but this being a known quantity in the $10 range, WD may have thought it unnecessary. I will buy and make a note that you want some.
Complex and yet approachable, the Slingshot North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon has a bouquet of ripe forest fruits, tobacco and vintage leather. The palate is dark and textured with notes of dark chocolate, blueberry, and plum that balance the acidity and chewy tannins. The lingering finish of subtle French oak will have you scrambling for more!

I am most always impressed with Slingshot, still have a bunch of it, but will probably get more based on rat reports?

Hoping the 2017 is just as good as the 16 that we had a case.
