@scott0210@winer Overall, likely not much; the kiddies are still there.
Gourmet, otoh, just looking at the comments and limited sales stats, has to be dramatic.

Had a bottle of the '15 tonight. It was okay, and for the price of this offer, it was a reasonable price performer. So in for a case. Hope the '16 is as good.

Had my first bottle of this ever after years of seeing it on wine.woot and I’m happy I finally tried this!
I was pleasantly surprised - not too sweet, slightly earthy. My roommate said it had the flavor of “microwaved strawberries” which in wine-speak would probably be “sun-ripe berries?"
I’ll definitely get it again next time. Decent QPR.
This came today, and I opened a bottle. It’s a nice full bodied wine with good fruit and a little tannin to make it interesting, and at the case price per bottle has a good QPR. Very drinkable, better than an earlier vintage I’d gotten on wine.woot. I’m glad I ordered a case.
@Thumperchick All I can think of with the words “dark”, “cheery”, and “tobacco” is some sort of film noir, perhaps a Dashiell Hammett novel! (You’re welcome!)
Slingshot North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon
6 bottles for $79.99 $13.33/bottle + $1.33/bottle shipping
Case of 12 for $129.99 $10.83/bottle + $1/bottle shipping
I’ve always found the Slingshot cabernets to be solid daily drinkers, happy to get another case. They’re not mind blowing but I think they have a really solid QPR
@rmm989 Same. Bought some from WW (twice) and thought it was an easy drinking table wine and a decent value. It’s cheaper here on Casemates, but the WW offering was a different vintage.
@rmm989@Vyntage I’m wondering about this exact point. If I remember correctly, earlier slingshot vintages were closer to $20/bottle (maybe $18? I’m not going to go spelunking in my w.w order history to find out) this being half of that raised my eyebrow Spock-style. Certainly didn’t stop me from ordering a case, I’ve always been a fan of Slingshot. Great QPR.
Oh my garsh! I miss this wine. I think I drank the last bottle a year ago. Sure brings back the woot! memories. Pretty sure I had the '12 and the '13. Very enjoyable. Thanks.
We proudly craft the Slingshot wines from our North Coast vineyards. Boasting a rich palate of dark fruit and a subtle hint of French oak, this wine leaves you wanting more. Enjoy Slingshot as you forge your own path and discover your own adventure. Remember, wine should be fun!
Complex yet approachable, the Slingshot North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas of dark cherry and tobacco. The palate is dark, long and textured with notes of blackcurrant, dried figs and plum that balance the acidity and chewy tannins. The broad finish and subtle French oak will have you scrambling for more!

Fine Wine For Everyone
Nothing is more important than quality. It’s what’s in the bottle that counts.
At Slingshot, our singular goal is to bring you a great bottle of Napa Valley wine at a reasonable price. We’re not interested in perplexing you. Wine is about enjoying the experience.
Our attitude borders on irreverent. Slingshot is about putting your best foot forward while forgetting about fitting into the mold or following the rules. Be bold, be adventurous, choose your own path, and above all remember to have fun.
That’s what we aim for with every bottle of Slingshot. Great wine for sticking up for the little guy; even better for relaxing with friends.

This is the first I have seen of the different shipping options. Is it spelled out somewhere what exactly the new option is? How expedited and if I do not choose that option is there a good chance my wine arrives cooked? Never had that problem with Woot but a little nervous now.
@Thumperchick
Thanks. Seems like I will still go with the regular shipping as long as it is summer oriented. Never have had a problem in the past so it seems kind of silly to pay more.
Off topic but is anyone else getting email from casemates.com confused with spam from classmates,com? I’ve deleted two or three messages by mistake this week. Maybe I need new glasses.
@billmort I just checked my Spam folder, the only thing of note says “RELEASE OF YOUR FUND AS INSTRUCTED BY THE FBI”. I need to go look into that, I was wondering what had happened to my fund…
@InFrom Just make sure to give them your bank account number, social security number, usernames, passwords to all your financial accounts and you should get your fund released in no time.
@winedavid49 Quick shipping question. In general, I am fine with the standard shipping but had a question regarding the two day shipping. When would the anticipated arrival be for this offering with two day shipping? I ask because I am interested in this but the standard shipping has arrival between June 21 - June 25 and I will be out of town starting the 24th . . . Thanks!
I don’t miss woot but I miss the old Sling Shot bottle photos from woot.
@scott0210 I was thinking the same – something’s missing.
@scott0210 I wonder how much of Woot’s overall traffic has been cut due to wine.woot having been dropped.

multiple cases now!
@jml326 Woot, er, meh!
Bout time @winedavid49.
This would have been nice for the Bell, Rasmussen, Kendric, TO and WS offers…
Hope this isn’t a one-off change.

@DickL thanks for checking back in. I love hearing it!
Typo in the Tasting Notes above: “dark cheery and tobacco.”
@ejrunion your tobacco isn’t dark and cheery? (thanks.)

@ejrunion “dark cheesy and tobacco” …there I fixed it for you.

Have really enjoyed all of the Slingshots I have had over the years. Be interested in any rat impressions on this vintage.

@Winedavid49 OK, thanks!
