@kaolis take it from me; the less you have to pack and move, the better. This cross town move was better than the cross state 5 years ago. Had 400+ bottles. This time we didn’t buy for most of 2018 and only had to move ~100. Still sucked lol
@bent80@kaolis I know what you mean. I moved 11+ cases from near Chicago down to central Missouri last week, and I’ve still got almost as much to move next time (fills up the bed of my pickup, as I’m reusing WW/Casemates shipping containers which are a bit larger). The other issue I’m facing is I don’t know how the storage conditions in my Missouri (walk-out) basement will compare to my Illinois “real” basement (I’ve got a 100 bottle cooler in Missouri for the bottles I figure I most want to protect).
p.s. I read something about mediocrebot doing some interesting things, so I included a certain word when I first wrote this post just to see what happens.
I am a wine club member with Stewart. I have pretty limited experience with their pinots, but if it’s anything like the quality of their cabs then $16 per bottle should be a crime because it’s so cheap. I highly recommend this winery.
I love PN, especially the Willamette Valley - Dundee areas of Oregon!! Many of the CA PNs that I’ve tasted over the years seem to have more of a strawberry, spice note, while OR PNs have more of a cherry, spice note. Done right both can be very delicious!
@mrn1 I looked a my CT inventory and I have at least 75 btls of PN. Although this seems to be a great offer, I need to start using my right brain and start drinking what I have. Thanks for the offer!! It’s a tough one to let go by! Wish we had some rattage on this one! Oh Joy, it’s snowing again!!!
This true Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir starts with aromas of mushrooms, cherries, and caramelized pancetta. @chipgreen That’s fair, but I’ve been playing with more fruit infused wines. I do have some black cherry pinot noir that I made downstairs that is high alcohol, but the flavor hides it well. That doesn’t quite count in my mind.
