Thanks and a question
1First thanks to everyone who responded to my last question about wineries to visit on our brief Sonoma trip. Unfortunately we were unable to make it to Iron Horse due to time/distance limitations, but we did visit Kunde, Schug, and Anaba and enjoyed wines from each one. Thanks again for all the recos!
My question now is: I’m very interested in this latest Farmstrong Field White Blend offering, seems like a great price to try an interesting/unusual white. But we live in Texas. Am I doomed to watch all the amazing deals go by as we swelter until October? What do my fellow southern wine lovers do in the summer months?

Yep - I think summer shipping should be coming out soon, which helps. Having it sent to a local FedEx can also prevent it from being trucked about too much, but doesn’t solve it from being in the big truck from California to Texas. Often they ship on Friday or Monday and deliver the following Friday after going through Arizona & Texas for multiple days.
Edit: There’s a reason I’ve stocked up on my wine over the first few months - to try to get me through until November or so.
Pay for express shipping and have it sent to a FedEx Office location. If the shipment isn’t spending 3 days on a local delivery truck filling out missed shipment slips, all will be good.
Yep, guaranteed to get there in good shape. We are really good at it.
@Winedavid49 When does Summer Shipping come into effect?
@rjquillin we are in “specific day” shipping mode now, meaning we make sure there is constant movement and no weekend layovers anywhere. Summer shipping (and express upgrade) will begin in early June.
Thanks everyone for your replies! I’m sufficiently confident, I pulled the trigger on a 6 pack and shipped it to work. Woohoo!
@Turbs workmates make the best casemates! woohoo!
