2014 Wetzel Estate Reserve Pinot Noir Magnum from Chateau Bianca - $20 = 15.38%
2014 Wetzel Estate Reserve Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon, 1.5L
Tasting Notes
This limited production handcrafted wine takes years to produce. We age our Estate Pinot Noir for 18-24 months in small French oak barrels. The wine is then bottled and aged further. When released the wines offer up soft tannins, earth notes, dark fruit character with bright acid balance. Unbelievably food friendly from salmon, beef, poultry and pasta dishes. A true crowd pleaser. Our vineyard is L.I.V.E certified reflecting our commitment to sustainable farming practices. We feel that the natural inputs we use in growing our fruit greatly enhances the character and quality of our wines.
Vintage and Winemaker Notes
Wetzel Estate wines are produced from only the highest quality fruit. Vines pruned for intentionally low yields lend themselves to intensely captivating premium wines. With the culmination of four generations of winemaking heritage in every bottle, these wines are among the finest available.

Chateau Bianca Winery & Vineyard is a family owned and operated winery established twenty-five years ago in the Mid-Willamette Valley, on Butler Hill outside of Dallas Oregon. We keep our annual production intentionally small and we are committed to high quality wines at an exceptional value.
We produce mainly Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc with a limited production of Sparkling wines, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Marechal Foch, Chardonnay, Ruby Port, Vin de Glace, and specialty wines.
Our winemaker, Andreas Wetzel and his family carry on the fourth-generation wine-making tradition. His great-grandfather started wine production in the area near Wurzburg, Germany. This love of winemaking continues today across the globe. For over 35 years, the family has been producing wines in beautiful Oregon.
These experiences have given us unique insights rare in this ever-changing wine industry. Andreas’ attention to detail garners Chateau Bianca many prestigious wine awards. Including having our 2011 Chateau Bianca Pinot Gris named the top 6 Wine in the World by Wine Enthusiast.

@ScottW58 It’s finely tuned. Make sure all the knifework is done early – get the bird in the oven – pop the bottles and stand back. More often than not is some sort of single-blind tasting, either a horizontal of a single vintage in a region or an exploration into a winery’s catalog. We try to take the chore out of drinking all that wine.
I demand a case offering!
Hey all, hope you are having a fantastic day. Thought I would pop in for any questions on this offer. Andreas-Winemaker for Wetzel Estate wines.

Curious what this wine sells for in a 750 ml format.
@Kildahl They have the '09 o their site for $35. The 2015 got 85 points from WE and they list it at $35.
So you are paying a premium for the large format, which isn’t uncommon.
@KNmeh7
Plus shipping I am sure of no less than $10- makes the deal look better.
For those having large Thanksgiving gatherings, this may be the ticket.
@davirom but not TOO large of a gathering. My thanksgiving of four adults murders three litres already.
@davirom @radiolysis
Ha! I would like to be a fly on the wall at one of those gatherings
