Attention! Due to tonight’s impending snowstorm, all Dryuary activities have been postponed indefinitely. This is good because there was a serious need to sample this wine before approving the BD13 case purchase. All in the name of science!
@msten@ScottW58@chefjess The case purchase will move forward. It’s really an interesting wine. It has a freshness I didn’t expect. Dark crimson in the glass, it shows nice fruit without being rich… with good acid and some tanginess. No heat on a lighter finish. Happy to have more coming my way. It was this or a case of the 18 Mission. Glad I went this way. And the mission was also quite nice! It almost feels like a cross between a Gamay and a lighter GSM. My first AB experience.
@ScottW58
No, that’s our friends’ place. Our first big bash has been postponed several times already for various reasons. Plus, we don’t have the culinary chops to pull off all those courses, haha.
@hscottk their website only shows the 2020 Isa which is odd. There was also a dump of a few wines into the last bottle marathons of the last couple years. Maybe they couldn’t keep the momentum going. But I hope not I really enjoy their wines and was buying the last 5 years are so.
@CorTot@hscottk
Those Isa '15s @ $10 got me hooked, although I’ve missed a couple vintages and my latest is the '19. How is the '20 and was it still in the $15 range?
What did LB have?
Looking on CT, except for Isa, nothing newer than a '19 Carménère but most everything else ends at '16 or earlier.
@CorTot@rjquillin Unfortunately, I missed all the LB deals but still have a few reds and whites from BDs past. I just noticed we’ve seen nothing post 2016 for reds or whites which is a shame. It looks like he’s just making the rosè these days and dumping the remaining inventory. Might need to load up this BD, if he’s even doing it this year.
Queued up for tonight, 2011 Wellington Meeks Zin. The last for me of this vintage. The cork came out in one solid piece, it’s always iffy with my Wellington bottles. Haven’t tasted it yet – waiting for the Pepcid to kick in while we await our Szechuan delivery.
2012 Two Jakes Cab Franc
Interesting flavor, I suggested Plum and SWMBO added Dandelion, Bitter Dandelion. It’s very good, can’t wait to try again tomorrow.
Looks like everybody’s over on Deals, talking about BD-13. Got 2 cases, missed the beef, and I’m done!
Jean Babou Blanquette de Limoux Élégance with New Year’s Day dinner of roast pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and buttered noodles.
Watched a movie after dinner and enjoyed a bottle of local Ohio wine from Sunny Slope. I have often been told that I have the palate of a yak, so I decided to put it to the test.
Turns out it’s true. We both noticed pear, apricot and citrus on the palate with medium acidity. I’d like to thank my friend Yak Nicholson for his participation.
@kawichris650 it’s good. It’s strong and fruity, lots of heavy red fruit. We were pairing with some roasted veggies and strong cheese (manchego and truffle brie) and this worked fantastic. Never seemed “hot” even at the 15.2%
@ScottW58 Problem?! Not in the least! More just that you presented it as a logical conclusion of “obviously I’m opening this wine because I made pretzels”.
@ScottW58 I’ve been banned from making pretzels. Apparently I was far too messy the couple times I did it. The water bath makes a huge mess when I clumsily do it.
@ctmariner $37?! I did the same with the 2008 for $53 for the 6-pack.
I had a couple bottles of the 2008 from Garagiste a few years ago and quite liked it. And based on the 2009 I’m very happy to have more of the 2008. Wind Gap is the best producer I only heard about after they shut down that part of the operation - unfortunately Pax’s main label is way more expensive for what’s essentially the same wine now.
@ctmariner The $53 was 50% off $106, so they said.
Going to see if they’ll adjust it, but at the end of the day for ~$10/btl delivered it’s a killer deal in any case.
@klezman Good luck - I decided to also take a punt on a 6 pack - a bit more expensive to ship to East Coast but still should be around $10/botl if I put a case together.
Working on the 2016 Virage Rose we opened a few nights ago, and then with a rack of lamb I decided to pop a 2006 Malvira’ Roero Renesio Riserva. A bit more than 2 years since we had it at the last pre-covid gathering, so this should be good!
2014 Tognetti Family Winery Chardonnay Aloise Francisco Vineyards
Alaskan Gold Sablefish in a miso/sake marinade and glaze, with some leftover glaze on a mostly greens salad.
@rjquillin
This is off wine topic, but thought I’d share this story. Speaking of the AG sablefish, I met one of their fishermen about a month ago. We were sitting next to each other while on vacation (vacationing separately but ended up at the same bar in Vegas) and randomly struck up a conversation. He mentioned that he was a fisherman in Alaska and then I mentioned getting my fish from AG. Turns out he is one of the fisherman/co-op owners for SPC (AG’s parent company). It really is one hook, one fish. He said to try the black cod tips if the opportunity arose as that was the best part. He also recommended their king salmon. I’ve had both the sablefish and king salmon along with almost all of their other offerings; delicious, but never have tried the tips so that will be next. Just thought it was cool to actually meet one of the coop fisherman who they mention on their site. Really nice guy. I think @winedavid49 brought them to gourmet.woot and since late 2019/early 2020, I’ve been hooked (ha, pun intended) and have been ordering regularly. Great fish. I think you said the Flannery/Morgan Ranch of seafood. I agree. And now that I’ve met an actual fisherman for them, I like them even more.
@chefjess@Winedavid49
Wow, great story. We did use the recipe on their site for this evening.
Also purchased a $1000 gift cert recently when they were, what, 15% off, despite still having a $500 credit. Just wait now for additional sale discounts to redeem them.
swmbo really likes all of them, but the expense remains obscured to keep peace.
Between them, Flannery, Morgan and Jasper Hill, I’m a bit tapped out at the moment…
@rjquillin@Winedavid49
I have a few hundred in gift certs as well and am using the same strategy. Loaded up during their percentage off. They also ran a food pantry promo for 100 credit for 100 donation to any pantry of your choice. I always make a donation around the holidays since my company does a special matching at Thanksgiving. I thought that was really nice that they were helping to support the pantries around the country while offering a little something to their customers. It really is a good company to which you introduced us @winedavid49. Thank you. I wish you could get more offers with them like you had a few years ago. They were fantastic.
I’m with you on the food shipments, but with BD coming up, I’ve saved a little for the Ventresca that will make its way to my home once again thanks to @ScottW58.
@klezman
The most recent Flannery sale ended Dec 15th. I can make a post in the deals thread the next time I receive an emal about a sale (and even tag you if you’d like).
@ctmariner Early drinking window? Too young? Maturing quickly? I’ve found the Halcon wines to generally want several years in bottle, so I’m happy to see others’ reports!
2006 Benessere Buono Rosso, a Sangio/Zin/Merlot blend from the old site. Drinking beautifully and great pairing with Casarecce pasta and Guy Fieri’s spicy sauce.
@rjquillin
An excellent Cab from Stagecoach vineyard made by Kirk Venge. Blue, black fruit with a wonderful nose. Tannins are smoothing out, has a very long finish. Still young but I’m not, long life ahead for it.
Picked this up on the the Spies and I wish I had grabbed 2 or 3 instead of just the 1 now that I drank it.
Opened and finished a bunch of bottles over the weekend
2016 Château de Clotte Cote De Castillon
2017 Of The Place Rosé
2013 Y. Rousseau The Musketeer Tannat
2015 Outcast OML
@rjquillin Yes and yes, but not a rush to drink up.
Don’t see any upside to not drinking up but my 2 remaining will probably not be drank till this fall and next winter. Still has nice dark fruit along with nicely aged characteristics. Long finish.
Smoked some chicken leg quarters Alabama white bbq sauce, don’t knock it until you have tried/made it! and made some corn bread with a Syrah. I’m a simple man
@danandlisa
Lol I told Andrea I would pick some spinach for salad but I got lazy. She was not really happy but got over it when she tasted the corn bread
Think I’m going to make some chicken paprikash and try one of these that recently arrived: 2011 Domaine Heresztyn/Heresztyn-Mazzini Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Village
@ScottW58
Still drinking surprisingly well, fruit mostly faded but lots of secondary notes to savor. A well made aged Cab and once again Durand to the rescue.
@klezman@rjquillin oye, this is why I dropped Underground cellars.
If I want this kinda stuff I would buy up bottles I usually pass on at GO. The other 1/2 of the bottle went down the drain. I’ll pick something better tonight.
2017 Alto Moncayo Garnacha. Not a restrained CdP style, very big fruit forward and heavily extracted, but it’s not unpleasant. Some more years in the bottle might calm it down.
The talk of Cabernet Pfeffer got me thinking, and so I’m opening this: 2017 Vocal Vineyards Gros Verdot Sabroso Enz Vineyard
Apparently it’s all Cabernet Pfeffer and the Gros Verdot name is incorrectly based on older genetic sequencing at the Enz Vineyard.
@chefjess It’s delicious - and same vineyard as the SER 2018, so this is a vintage off. This is also my third bottle of it - I picked it up for a wine tasting I hosted in the before-times, liked it, and went back for more!
@Harvest_Moon
I know Harvest Moon is highly regarded, but after having several of these I can confidently say these bottles have to be off. They’ve all had an astringent funk aromatically as well as on the palate. I quite enjoy Zin for the record, but these are always a struggle to consume. I’m not sure if they are corked, or if they got cooked, but they are far from pleasant unfortunately.
@Harvest_Moon
I opted to be patient, hoping the funk might dissipate with time and the wine might eventually evolve/improve, but sadly they are consistently unpleasant (to put it nicely). There’s also a slight effervescence or tingly sensation which I find very odd and unusual for a RRV Zin. @winedavid49
I looked up the order and these were from the old site. Is there any sort of recourse to remedy the situation? I sincerely appreciate your assistance and thank you in advance.
@Harvest_Moon@kawichris650@Winedavid49
I’ve found that, consistently, the 2009 RRV Zinfandel and also the late harvest Zin have a grassy and even Bretty aroma. I think it’s something with that vintage - it’s not cork taint/TCA, it’s not acetobacter, it’s not any other specific flaw that I can name or that I’ve encountered before, but it’s so consistent in those wines. I can easily see how it’s off putting.
@Harvest_Moon@kawichris650@Winedavid49 unfortunately the risk with wine. We often don’t drink them immediately after ordering and after time has passed impossible to evaluate the reason for changing. I’d recommend gifting them or opening them with others to see how they are evaluated, and hope you don’t have too many more!
Normally this would be with some good saké, but leftover
2018 Acquiesce Grenache Blanc
took it’s place this year.
@rjquillin that looks amazing.
@radiolysis once a year, 1/1, for ~20 years running now.
@radiolysis @rjquillin nicely done, as always!
2003 Corison Kronos Vineyard
Sometimes you’ve just gotta treat yourself!
@karenhynes still sun-tanned jail-bait at that age.
@rjquillin
Haha! I wouldn’t call it jail-bait, but if you’ve got 'em…no need to rush.
@karenhynes @rjquillin
Oh please I’d rather drink them now than when I would have to drink them intravenously!
@rjquillin @ScottW58
IV wine is probably not a great idea!
@karenhynes @rjquillin
Exactly!
@rjquillin @ScottW58
Might be ok in those CA hospitals, but not so much here in Chicago!
@ScottW58
You’ve got to keep in mind @karenhynes is holding at 39.
2010 Scott Harvey Vineyard 1869
@klezman
How is/was it? I’ve yet to try the 1869, but I have one bottle stashed away for a special occasion.
@kawichris650 Very nice, in a great spot but also will likely still improve for a few years at least.
2011 Two Jakes of Diamonds Cabernet Franc Diamond Ridge Lake County
Had a pretty great weekend with a leg of lamb on a rotisserie and some great wines!
@ScottW58 it’s a great wine weekend when the Stag’s Leap gets cropped out of the picture.

It’s been years since I did a rotisserie chicken, it’s a lot of work but I love cooking over fire came out great! With a Kelley Fox Pinot.
@ScottW58
Yummm!
I know it’s not Wednesday, but let’s be honest… any day that ends with “y” is a good day to enjoy some Wellington.
Attention! Due to tonight’s impending snowstorm, all Dryuary activities have been postponed indefinitely. This is good because there was a serious need to sample this wine before approving the BD13 case purchase. All in the name of science!
@hscottk does the lab report support the purchase?
@hscottk @msten
I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a case so any thoughts are appreciated.
@hscottk @msten
Inquiring minds want to know!
@msten @ScottW58 @chefjess The case purchase will move forward. It’s really an interesting wine. It has a freshness I didn’t expect. Dark crimson in the glass, it shows nice fruit without being rich… with good acid and some tanginess. No heat on a lighter finish. Happy to have more coming my way. @rc70 The Duke!!! Every year. The ultimate cellar defender.
2008 Pedroncelli Merlot Bench Vineyards
Idk if any of you are still holding this, but it’s in very nice shape right now. A good old blast from the past.

2013 Pavi Dolcetto
Dinner with friends this past weekend.
1992 En Tirage Champagne for the aperitif. Our last and by far best bottle of En Tirage. Sublime!
Appetizer was grilled eggplant with yogurt sauce, paired with 2011 Jemrose Viognier (and the rest of the En Tirage).
Next up, mixed greens salad paired with a 2017 Fossil Point Rose.
Best minestrone ever! “Served up with Parmesan cheese”, even.
…and a 2009 d’Arenberg Laughing Magpie Shiraz
Main course was roast beast with green beans and assorted root vegetables.
Paired with 2007 Wellington Cabernet Sauvignon, which was just as smooth and delicious as expected.
Sadly did not get a picture of the chocolate torte cake we had for dessert but paired it with WineSmith’s Any Gorilla.
Bonus bottle, consumed while watching the ladies dance and lip sync to cornball '80s music videos after dinner!
@chipgreen
Nice friggin spread! Your new place?
@chipgreen Nicely done! You guys always put on a great spread!
@ScottW58
No, that’s our friends’ place. Our first big bash has been postponed several times already for various reasons. Plus, we don’t have the culinary chops to pull off all those courses, haha.
@chipgreen @ScottW58 But you’ve got the wine chops, for sure.
@chipgreen
Just bring the bottles!
@msten I was very tempted by their BD offers . If they had offered a mixed 6 like last year I would have jumped.
@CorTot This was a 6+6 zin futures a couple yrs ago. Well pleased
@CorTot @msten Is it not still a baby? I’m figuring I’ll have to sit on mine another 4-6 years before I want to try them
@CorTot @klezman yes. Curiosity prevailed.
2013 Wellington Vineyards Syrah Charlie Walker’s Corner
2019 Pedroncelli Sonoma Classico. Italian for QPR.
2020 campesino Isa
@CorTot Do you know if he still makes anything other than Isa these days? I haven’t seen mention of a vintage release after 2016 in email, BD, etc.
@hscottk not sure, I don’t really look to buy other than at BD.
@hscottk their website only shows the 2020 Isa which is odd. There was also a dump of a few wines into the last bottle marathons of the last couple years. Maybe they couldn’t keep the momentum going. But I hope not I really enjoy their wines and was buying the last 5 years are so.
@CorTot @hscottk
@hscottk @rjquillin the 20 Isa is great, a little more copper in color, same great acid and minimal style. I’m hoping they are still making wine.
@CorTot @rjquillin Unfortunately, I missed all the LB deals but still have a few reds and whites from BDs past. I just noticed we’ve seen nothing post 2016 for reds or whites which is a shame. It looks like he’s just making the rosè these days and dumping the remaining inventory. Might need to load up this BD, if he’s even doing it this year.
@hscottk @rjquillin
Here is what I have purchased over the years from the various marathons.
@ScottW58 ah, this wine…. Magical stuff. One bottle left. How is it doing? Been almost a year since our last bottle.
@hscottk
Still magical for sure!

2013 Twisted Oak Parcel 17
Excellent. From my Random Reds case Missed posting a note for the 2007 Parcel 17; it was on fire too.
Made some chicken and waffles and popped this newly arrived bottle. It’s nice
@ScottW58 You should try Go Go Bird in Culver. Or we should get it together and drink bubbly with it. Tried it last weekend and it’s great stuff.
@klezman
I’ll bet it’s good but I fry a mean bird well IMHO and the best waffles
@klezman oh and if anyone loves waffles this recipe is my favorite. Crisp on the outside and soft in the middle.
@ScottW58 Do you fry your bird with Sichuan peppercorn and chilis? I’m not suggesting Honey’s Kettle or anything that pedestrian!
2015 Pedroncelli Zinfandel, Bushnell Vineyard
@radiolysis
Nice! Please post an update if you don’t mind and let us know how it’s drinking.
@kawichris650 it’s good. It’s strong and fruity, lots of heavy red fruit. We were pairing with some roasted veggies and strong cheese (manchego and truffle brie) and this worked fantastic. Never seemed “hot” even at the 15.2%
@radiolysis
Sounds delicious! Thanks! I might have to dig one out soon.
Made some bagels and did brunch for the first time in a long time!
@ScottW58
yum!
@ScottW58 That’s one hell of a brunch!
We tried to go for dim sum yesterday in Culver and the place was closed for maintenance.

Ugh too many shut down right now
@ScottW58 We ended up at Ms. Chi, so not a bad second place option.

Made some pretzels today so opened one of these
@ScottW58
This brings me back to my usual question. Of all of the years so far, which has been your favorite and why?
@chefjess
Well this 95 was much better than the first one I had so I think that moved up to 3rd with 2000 and 1998 running neck and neck
@ScottW58 I made pretzels so of course I opened a 25 year old Margaux?
@klezman
Hey the pretzels were delicious! And life is too short. You got a problem with that?
@ScottW58 Problem?! Not in the least! More just that you presented it as a logical conclusion of “obviously I’m opening this wine because I made pretzels”.
@klezman
Maybe a little outside the box haha but next time you make some pretzels open a 25 year old Margaux you will be happy!
@ScottW58 Damn right on all counts!
But I’ve got quite a while before my 2016s are that old!
@ScottW58 I’ve been banned from making pretzels. Apparently I was far too messy the couple times I did it. The water bath makes a huge mess when I clumsily do it.
New one for me tonight with home made pizza.
@CorTot How was it?
@ScottW58 the pizza as great!!
Wine was good pizza wine, but not super memorable.

I’ve got half of a reserved bottle of 2009 Wind Gap RRV Syrah to drink and also going to sip on some 2016 Virage CF Rose.
@klezman How was the RRV Syrah? 6 pack of the 2008 on Wine Bid for $37
@ctmariner $37?! I did the same with the 2008 for $53 for the 6-pack.
I had a couple bottles of the 2008 from Garagiste a few years ago and quite liked it. And based on the 2009 I’m very happy to have more of the 2008. @ctmariner The $53 was 50% off $106, so they said.
Going to see if they’ll adjust it, but at the end of the day for ~$10/btl delivered it’s a killer deal in any case.

Picked this up on the the Spies and I wish I had grabbed 2 or 3 instead of just the 1 now that I drank it.
Opened and finished a bunch of bottles over the weekend
2016 Château de Clotte Cote De Castillon
2017 Of The Place Rosé
2013 Y. Rousseau The Musketeer Tannat
2015 Outcast OML
We didn’t have bubbly last night, so I put a Michel Genet Grand Cru BB Spirit in the fridge for later.

2019 de Negoce Syrah, OG n.223 Edna Valley
Qupe ‘18 Syrah central coast
@rc70 Last Bottle? Time to pull corks?
@rjquillin Yes and yes, but not a rush to drink up.
Don’t see any upside to not drinking up but my 2 remaining will probably not be drank till this fall and next winter. Still has nice dark fruit along with nicely aged characteristics. Long finish.
Smoked some chicken leg quarters Alabama white bbq sauce, don’t knock it until you have tried/made it! and made some corn bread with a Syrah. I’m a simple man
@ScottW58 Where are the token “greens”?
@danandlisa @ScottW58
Collard!
@danandlisa
Lol I told Andrea I would pick some spinach for salad but I got lazy. She was not really happy but got over it when she tasted the corn bread
@danandlisa @ScottW58
If you add some green chilies to your cornbread you’re greens are covered.
Think I’m going to make some chicken paprikash and try one of these that recently arrived: 2011 Domaine Heresztyn/Heresztyn-Mazzini Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Village
2016 Scott Harvey Barbera (Mountain Selection) with venison roast.
2017 I. Brand & Family Mourvèdre Old Vine Enz Vineyard
The other half of this, with a Flannery hanger. Yum
2007 Col Solare
2010 A Tribute to Grace Wine Company Grenache Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard
With some kale pesto from Garagiste.
2013 Engracia Chardonnay Silva Vineyard
Finally arrived a while back and so I can try it! Having it with Costco mac/crack & cheese.
@rjquillin you’d best take delivery of those from Clark. This bottle is fairly oxidized.
@klezman thanks, the Pavi is doing great.
@klezman @rjquillin
I had a similar experience with the 2013 Engracia Chard.
NV Solemme Champagne Premier Cru Terre de Solemme
With some Sichuan red oil dumplings and whatever else we make to go with it.
2016 Tercero Verbiage blanc
2014 Hawk and Horse Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
This is what we are more likely to do at home!
@chipgreen
I’m 100 points on that
@chipgreen YES!
we did that last week with a Sichuan fried chicken place.
2018 Immich-Anker Enkircher Monteneubel Riesling Sekt brut nature - zero dosage
2016 Sterling Platinum Cabernet
Day 2, a very good wine.
The other night with Fancy like Applebee’s curbside pickup…
My LW had the Fiesta Lime Chicken with 2011 Kunde Sauvignon Blanc, purchased on the 2012 RPM tour.
I had the Top Sirloin dinner with a 2010 Star Lane Cab from Santa Barbara county. Tasty!
Tripped over one that wasn’t supposed (CT) to have been here.
2009 Lucas J. Cellars (Meeker) Pinot Noir Robert Road Clone SWAN Sangiacomo Vineyard
With salmon and trimmings
Gung hay fat Choi!
2018 Wunsch & Mann Pinot Noir Equus, Alsace
@rc70
Kinda a blast from the past how is it?
@ScottW58
Still drinking surprisingly well, fruit mostly faded but lots of secondary notes to savor. A well made aged Cab and once again Durand to the rescue.
@rc70 @ScottW58
Thanks for asked and answered.
2018 Giornata Il Campo
2017 Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet/Shiraz
Nice & Bold, great Aussie Red
2010 Watkins Family Vineyard Cabernet Franc Bugay Vineyard
2018 Bernardus Pinot Noir, SLH
I some how have 2 of these from underground cellars, time to see how bad this is.
@CorTot perfect, especially in a Purell tainted glass!
@rjquillin as suspected it wasn’t great.
@CorTot @rjquillin But at least it was boatiquey?
@klezman @rjquillin oye, this is why I dropped Underground cellars.
If I want this kinda stuff I would buy up bottles I usually pass on at GO. The other 1/2 of the bottle went down the drain. I’ll pick something better tonight.
2016 Paetra Riesling “K”
with curry
2017 Alto Moncayo Garnacha. Not a restrained CdP style, very big fruit forward and heavily extracted, but it’s not unpleasant. Some more years in the bottle might calm it down.
2016 Château de Panigon
@rjquillin
Okay burning question, with the hundreds or thousand older wines you have and love you’re drinking a 16??! Why?? Asking for a friend
@ScottW58 and a cheap one too. Curiosity, and with take-out Mexican carnitas; I’ll not open a Corison.
@rjquillin @ScottW58 I have a theory, proximity and easy access really seem to impact Ron’s pulls…
@CorTot @rjquillin
Makes sense but almost every note he posts is “I drank it too early” he needs to dig a little just for our entertainment
Now I’m seeing the tiny paper label does actually say Cabernet Pfeffer, so it’s correct and CT listing it as Gros Verdot is incorrect.
@klezman
How is it? Might be fun to compare to the SER. At least I think it was SER?
@chefjess It’s delicious - and same vineyard as the SER 2018, so this is a vintage off. This is also my third bottle of it - I picked it up for a wine tasting I hosted in the before-times, liked it, and went back for more!
@klezman
Oohhh. Now I’m really excited to try the SER. I got a sampler so it has a few different years of the varietal.
@chefjess Entering that in CT was quite the hassle with the super short name!
@klezman
@Harvest_Moon
@Harvest_Moon
I opted to be patient, hoping the funk might dissipate with time and the wine might eventually evolve/improve, but sadly they are consistently unpleasant (to put it nicely). There’s also a slight effervescence or tingly sensation which I find very odd and unusual for a RRV Zin.
@winedavid49
I looked up the order and these were from the old site. Is there any sort of recourse to remedy the situation? I sincerely appreciate your assistance and thank you in advance.
@Harvest_Moon @kawichris650 @Winedavid49
@Harvest_Moon @kawichris650 @Winedavid49 unfortunately the risk with wine. We often don’t drink them immediately after ordering and after time has passed impossible to evaluate the reason for changing. I’d recommend gifting them or opening them with others to see how they are evaluated, and hope you don’t have too many more!
