The real question is about the '14 Roman Reserve Meritage Ishi Pishi. It’s never been offered AFAIK. He’s got a 2 pack for $70, case for $360. 12.8% alc.
Yes, I’ve had them all and if they are on sale, I’ll beat you to them! I’m a big fan of Clark’s winemaking skills and any year of the Meritage showcases those skills impressively. Though the Lake County Meritage is heavy on the Merlot side, the Lake County juice he uses does not drink like your typical Cali Merlot and when blended with Cab Franc it is beyond delicious…think higher end right bank Bordeaux. The Ishi Pishi Meritage is a totally different experience. All organic, no added sulfites along with living in a seasoned barrel for over five years really makes this a special wine. Beautiful purple color, nice minerality and a perfect pairing for a high end steak.
Just took a peek at the sale price and damn…it’s a steal! Almost as good as a killer Casemates deal!
OK, Minnesota folks. I see there’s no delivery to the Godforsaken land of South Dakota, even though I’ve had some of Clark’s wines delivered here in the past. Is anyone interested in putting together a big order and splitting it up? (What an idea - we could even call it “casemates” or something!)
We got a case last year. We love it. Mostly Merlot in the blend. Previous sale.
I would think the real question here is who hasn’t tried it
@ScottW58 I sure haven’t
@CorTot so there are two of us smartass
@CorTot @ScottW58 Three…
@CorTot @hscottk @ScottW58 four

@merrybill And I’m very curious to try it, given that I’ve very much enjoyed both what Cabot and Briceland have done with Ishi Pishi Ranch fruit.
@merrybill
The Ishi Pishi Meritage is delicious. Anything Clark makes as a Roman Reserve demands extra attention.

@coynedj
Genius haha! I’d be interested in a split, but can’t afford many. So hopefully we can gather enough interest.
6 in the cellar. I must be the third.
I believe it’s made from the same grapes as Two jakes Aspects, same winemaker. Might be an interesting side by side tasting.
