TASTING NOTES:
Chenin Blanc - “This wine displays classical Chenin Blanc aromatics of straw, lanolin and bruised peach, accompanied by a beautifully refined minerality. On the palate one can expect vibrant acidity and a chalky mouth feel, making this wine extremely versatile when it comes to food pairings.” (AbV 12.5%, pH 3.3, TA 5.5 g/L)

Sauvignon Blanc - “The wine is aged in stainless steel to maintain the true characteristics of the varietal. The result is a crunchy and zesty palate with a lingering aftertaste. Green apple, pink grapefruit and crushed stone dominate the nose while fresh citrus and tropical flavors, together with an elegant mouthfeel, are felt on the palate.” (AbV 12.5%, pH 3.5, TA 6.1 g/L)

THAT REMINDS ME OF: Soup.

What makes something a soup versus a stew? I didn’t really know for sure, just had that distinct understanding that they were different. One’s chunkier, right? Thicker?

So the difference between a soup and a stew seems to be that stews are primarily solid food cooked in some sort of liquid and usually resulting in a gravy. On the other hand, soups are primarily liquid but will have solid ingredients in it. To look at it a different way, soup ingredients are entirely submerged in the soup medium while stew ingredients are submerged enough to cook in the liquid but not entirely subsumed by it.
