TASTING NOTES:
“Inviting aromas of raspberry, cherry liqueur, rose petals and vanilla notes are offered. Seeming reticent in the glass at first, it opens up to reveal a well-integrated, intense, ripe, plush, complex wine with a long toasty finish.” (AbV 14.2%, pH 3.58, TA 6.0 g/L, RS 0.25 g/L)

Aged in French oak, 67% new, unracked but filtered after 10 months in the barrel.

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
While some sources purport the conception of the phrase, “Surely you jest,” to Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado,” the phrase as we know it doesn’t quite appear. Instead, the earliest popular usage seems to be in the early 1960’s sitcom The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis of all things. Antagonist/rival to Gillis, Chatsworth Osborne Jr., would use the phrase often.
