TASTING NOTES:
“…remarkably fragrant, offering generous aromas of fresh peach, Bartlett pear and nectarine, with subtle notes of hyacinth, apricot and crushed rose petals. The palate is delightfully silky, underlying a clean, fresh crispness delivering enticing flavors of mango, Crenshaw melon, lemon chiffon and tangerine. Secondary layers reveal hints of sweet cherry and vanilla with orange peel accents. A luxurious and lasting finish leaves traces of apple pie, strawberry and kiwi.” (AbV 13.7%)

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
It feels wrong in some way to call IOU an abbreviation. It’s not quite an acronym, considering it’s not IOY, but it’s weird to abbreviate something using the final letter of the word rather than the first, right? It just so happened that saying it with U at the end sounds exactly the same as the full phrase.

It also just so happened to be in alphabetical order. So if you’ve got a friend who can go by “E.,” you can tell them “A, E., IOU.”

Anyway, IOU’s are regarded as documents acknowledging debt, at least informally. It doesn’t swing the weight of a promissory note, but if you get someone to sign theirs or otherwise ensure authenticity, go ahead and hold it over their head. An IOU usually does not specify all the repayment terms, such as how or when it should be paid, which gives people some leeway. Although, it could just end up that the holder tries to cash it in whenever they dang well please.
