TASTING NOTES:
“Loads of fruit, mellow tannins and complex aromatics make this a go-to red. This wine fills the glass with aromas of dark fruit, pencil shavings, grilled bread and hints of freshly ground white pepper, which are complemented by flavors of black plums, preserves, cranberry and warm Okanagan cherry clafouti that’s been cooked in a cast iron pan.” (AbV 13.2%; Carignane, Syrah and Zinfandel)

Louis Armstrong has been known by many nicknames, such as Satchmo, Satch, and Pops. But where did they come from?

Well, Satchmo and Satch are both derived from being called Satchelmouth. Uh-huh.

What does that mean?

Well, he was allegedly called Satchelmouth because he’d hide money in his mouth when younger. That or because he has a big mouth. Honestly, I thought it was somehow related to how your cheeks puff out when playing trumpet, but eh.
