THAT REMINDS ME OF: Gargantua, and Gargantua 2.

The Venture Bros. is an adult cartoon, premiering in 2003 and having its last movie in 2023, that follows Dr. Thaddeus “Rusty” Venture and his twin sons, Hank and Dean, as they bungle their way through a world inspired by Jonny Quest, Marvel and DC Comics, GI Joe, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys, and all sorts of pulp fiction.

Rusty’s father, super scientist Dr. Jonas Venture Sr., was for a long time at the pinnacle of all this. One of his great inventions was the space station Gargantua, which could house up to 9,000 people. After the Movie Night Massacre of 1981, which resulted in the deaths of most of the crew and Jonas Venture Sr. himself, only two people would maintain the station until it eventually fell from orbit twenty years later. Jonas Venture Jr., Rusty’s younger twin, would later build a Gargantua-2 in an attempt to live up to their father’s legacy. However, it would also end up destroyed shortly after its grand opening.
