TASTING NOTES:
“A hint of vanilla, white pepper, ripe raspberry, clove and hints of cola on the nose while the juicy raspberry, ripe blackberry and white pepper are found on the palate. This wine has a soft mid palate, notes of persimmon and currant with a touch of coffee on the finish.” (AbV 14.4%, TA 0.62 g/100mL, pH 3.45, 90% Zinfandel 10% Sangiovese)

James Randi, once known as the stage magician The Amazing Randi, devoted the latter half of his life to being a “debunker,” although he much preferred the term “investigator.” Starting in the 70’s, Randi started appearing on talk shows with the intent of revealing many psychics as frauds. The first and perhaps most infamous of his targets was Uri Geller, who would bend objects with his mind and had been garnering a considerable following. Despite setting Geller up to be exposed, Geller’s failure ironically got him more exposure. Geller and Randi would butt heads for decades. Randi also exposed once-prominent faith healer Peter Popoff for using prayer cards submitted by audience members to seemingly receive messages from God.
