About J. Dusi Wines
Founded in 2005 by Janell Dusi, J. Dusi Wines is the successor to her grandfather Dante’s Dusi Winery. For over 65 years and across several generations, the Dusi family have carried on with the traditions established in that first Zinfandel vineyard back in 1945, expanding on them, and creating one of the most beloved vineyards in the region. With four generations of Dusi’s contributing between growing and harvest, you can just feel the time and love put into each wine.

So, it turns out that supercalifragilisticexpialidocious did not originate with Mary Poppins. In 1965, two songwriters sued Disney under the belief that they made the word first with songs in 1949 and 1951. They lost the case, since it was agreed upon that Americans have a history of making funny words by slamming a bunch of other words together. But they weren’t the first instance of the word either. In 1931, Helen Herman, a student at Syracuse University who was also a writer for the paper. This is the first appearance of the word, though spelled supercaliflawjalisticexpialadoshus instead, in any writing. According to Herman, it was “an expression which, to me, includes all words in the category of something wonderful.”
