About Kendric Vineyards
Winemaker Stewart Johnson has been caretaker of the Kendric Johnson vineyard since his first Pinot Noir was planted in 2002. Though a graduate with both a law degree and doctorate in political science, it was during an internship with the EPA that he found himself more drawn to the freedom of growing and winemaking than he was to practicing law in an office. The name Kendric is in honor of Stewart’s late father who passed right as he and his wife were starting their winemaking venture. With an actual hand in every part of the wine’s production, the wines of Kendric Vineyards are truly the result of Stewart Johnson’s vision.
