TASTING NOTES:
“The 2020 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir leads with aromas of lavender, candied cherries, and notes of fresh blueberries. This vintage is aged in 25% French oak, which imparts a subtle vanilla toast to this juicy pinot noir. The palate is round and full, with a balanced acidity that contributes to the excellent structure and aging potential of the wine.” (AbV 14.45%, pH 3.27)

Lara Croft has become an iconic video game character in the 26 years she’s existed, but her story has had some changes over time. Originally, she was an aristocratic, London-born heiress betrothed to an Earl and put through private schools. When her plane crashed in the Himalayas at 21, the quest for survival and discovery fostered a desire for adventure in her that soon led to her abandoning her previous life. With the 2006 reboot, she became the daughter of an archaeologist, and the plane crash instead occurred when she was only 9. Her mother was with her, and while taking refuge in a temple, Lara watched her mother vanish. This inspires her travels. Then, with the next reboot of the series in 2013, things changed again. Both of her parents were archaeologists, and her mother disappeared from a dig while Lara was young. This led into her father taking his own life a few years later, and Lara was adopted. When she gets stuck on a remote island with strange, conventionally unexplainable phenomena, she falls into the adventurer life.
