Fall Reds or Autumn Reds?

TASTING NOTES:
Pendulum - “This a big wine, with integrated and elegant tannins, and aromas of coffee and plum. The wine has flavors of bright black cherry, boysenberry, and sweet oak, finishing with plum reduction sauce and a hint of nutmeg.“ (AbV 13.9%, pH 3.69, TA 5.4 g/L)

Pinot Noir - “Tarragon and pink peppercorn aromatics combine with subtle notes of Dutch pipe tobacco and blood orange. The palate is rich with vanilla, black raspberry and fresh fig while a bright and driving acidity is complemented by long, velvety tannins.” (AbV 12.8%, pH 3.36, TA 5.78 g/L)

Cabernet Sauvignon - “Aromas of dark plum mixed with floral notes of violets lead to flavors of Vann cherry, black coffee and anise. This is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with big tannins that make your mouth water at every sip. Sweet alcohol and toasted oak finish this off with lingering flavors of bitter chocolate, mocha and cassis.” (AbV 14.8%, pH 3.84, TA 5.5 g/L)

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
The age old question: do you call it fall or do you call it autumn? Autumn, of course, predated fall because of its roots in the Latin autumnus, and continues to be the most common word for the season outside the US. People in Great Britain, particularly poets, started shortening the “fall of leaves” to “fall” in the 1600’s, and with the expansion of the British Empire, both terms made the trip over the ocean to America. Over time, fall would become the most common word for the season in America (despite having firmly British roots).
