TASTING NOTES:
Cabernet Sauvignon - “Aromas of dark ripe berries, dried herbs and earthy notes introduce this medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Round tannins are framed by cherry, plum and blackberry fruit followed by highlights of oregano and mocha. Great structure and good acidity combine with a lingering, spicy finish.” (AbV 14.2%, pH 3.69, TA 0.600 g/100mL)

Cabernet Franc - “There’s a fragrant bouquet of red cherry, dried herbs and black pepper spice followed by flavors of red fruits, spicy oak notes, cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg all coming together nicely. The rounded tannins frame the zesty finish and is accented by toasted oak notes.” (AbV 14.2%, pH 3.60, TA 0.570 g/100mL

Classico - “Ripe dark berries with floral and toasty notes in the nose and cherry and plum flavors. A medium bodied blend, there is an underlying structure of rounded tannins bringing balance along with a pleasant and fruit forward finish.” (AbV 14.4%, pH 3.78, TA 0.555 g/100mL)

Cabernet Franc - 15 months in French oak, 30% new.

The word “frank” as an adjective obviously has roots in French, specifically the Old French “franc,” meaning free/without hindrance. Similarly, the word “francus” in Medieval Latin similarly meant being free. Interestingly, the reason “franc” meant free in Old French and spread to other languages is probably because the Franks, back in the 4th to 6th centuries, were one of the only free peoples in an area that was essentially fully conquered (in large part by the Roman Empire).
