TASTING NOTES: “Ruby red. Ripe fruit aromas of plum, red raspberry and black cherry with a violet floral top note. The medium-bodied palate is ripe and creamy, with the plum and wild berry fruit complimented by warm brown spice and sweet, firm tannin. The textural palate impression leads into a long fruit-imbued finish with tannin and fruit in perfect harmony.“ (AbV 14.5%, pH 3.68, TA 6.0 g/L)

THAT REMINDS ME OF: Skylarks.

Here’s the thing… Larks are birds. You may gasp, if you wish. In fact there are many larks out there other than the skylark. Just to name a few: the dune lark. The sun lark. The Mediterranean short-toed lark. The greater hoopoe-lark! The rufous-rumped lark!

So, what makes a skylark more of a sky lark than the rest? Because they sing specifically while they are flying! There you have it.
