TASTING NOTES:
“The aromas of this wine are of ripe black cherry with some leather and earth notes in the backdrop. The ripe cherry is sappy and rich on the palate and the wine finishes with an elegant silky texture best described as supple and combines well with the strawberry, raspberry coulis and a suggestion of spicy clove and cinnamon.”(AbV 13.5%, pH 3.65, TA 5.9 g/L, RS 0.13 g/L)

The alien symbiote behind the Marvel villain/anti-hero/hero Venom was one of millions created by a being called Knull. Who is Knull? Well Knull was an ancient void deity who woke up when the Celestials, basically personifications of things like death, space, and time, brought the light into his kingdom of darkness. Knull fought against the Celestials with a sword he made, technically the first symbiote, for a very long time. At least, he did until he crash landed on a desolate planet during one particular brawl, where his sword would be picked up by some random alien who runs off with it. While he’s stuck on that planet, he starts making the symbiotes like Venom.

“My favorite accompaniment to Pinot Noir is roasted Duck Breast cooked medium rare and served with French lentils. It works well with a classic Toulouse Style French Cassoulet with a whole duck leg confit cooked in its own bowl with cannellini beans, pork shoulder and finished topped with bread crumbs prior to 2 hours in the oven. On the lighter side it’s nice with seared tuna, sushi nigiri (especially Unagi) and pairs well with Impossible Burgers. But the best way to enjoy a fine Pinot Noir is on a Friday night with good friends and lots of laughter.” - Richard Bruno
