Martin Ray pioneered Californian single varietal, region specific wine between 1943 and 1972 out of Saratoga in the Santa Cruz Mountains. When Courtney Bernham found 1500 cases of Martin Ray wine in a warehouse in San Jose, he decided to take on Ray’s legacy and purchased the brand.
