About Fattoria della Talosa: “Talosa’s story started over 50 years ago when Angelo Jacorossi acquired this beautiful historical estate. The Jacorossi family started pushing very strongly to produce extremely high-quality wines, so much so that this estate became a watershed in the quality of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Today, this award-winning winery is being managed by the 3rd generation of the Jacorossi family. This property comprises more than 80 acres of vineyards, established in one of the loveliest Crus in Montepulciano called Pietrose.”

TASTING NOTES: “This juicy medium-bodied Rosso shows intriguing aromas of blueberries and strawberries. The palate has a perfect balance. Elegant tannins with a supple fruity finish. This wine is fresh, fun, and a pleasure to drink and share.“ (AbV 14%)

THAT REMINDS ME OF: Factorio.

Most games you see are guys running around shooting guns or with swords and magic. Sometimes it’s a weird little dude jumping on blocks. Sometimes you get a game where you can build stuff. Factorio, as the name would imply, is very much the latter.

Announced in 2013 and eventually released in 2020, you take on the role of a space-faring engineer on a hostile alien planet trying to get the heck out of there by building a rocket. But unlike Nintendo’s Pikmin where you get a bunch of weird little dudes to collect pieces for you, you’ve gotta gather everything and build everything yourself. At least, at first. Like Minecraft, you gather resources, resources which you can fashion into more advanced tools than what you start out with. This in turn allows you to harvest and build with more materials, which in turn lets you make even more advanced tools and machines, up to a point where you have a literal automated factory harvesting, refining, processing, and assembling things, until finally you’ve got a rocket!
