TASTING NOTES: “Our Chardonnay has bright acidity and ripe notes of pear and Gravenstein apple. Slightly nutty and floral, it pairs well with a variety of fish and poultry. ” (AbV 13.7%, pH 3.45, TA 5.9 g/L)

THAT REMINDS ME OF: The Gardener!

And by that I mean the character in Marvel Comics called the Gardener. See, in the Marvel universe, there have been many races of beings. Some have thrived, others have gone extinct. The thing is, some of the ones that go extinct have singular individuals who somehow have survived and continue to survive for billions of years. Seemingly immortal, there is a caveat to their survival: they must maintain a constant will to continue living for all that time. What’s an easy way to do that? Developing a very narrow but widely applicable obsession.

The most well known of these individuals are probably the Collector and the Grandmaster. The Collector is obsessed with, well, collecting things. All things. Everything. It’s the act of collecting that keeps him alive. The Grandmaster on the other hand is obsessed with games and strategy, and thus is perpetually seeking new games and ways to play them.

Then you’ve got the Gardener. He is obsessed with gardening. But, like, on a planetary scale. He makes entire planets his gardens.
