About Twisted Oak Winery
Twisted Oak is all about making good wine and having a good time. Just outside Murphys, California, Jeff and Mary Stai founded their winery with a 10 acre vineyard of Tempranillo, Graciano, and Garnacha, taking advantage of the almost Mediterranean soil and climate. At 2000 feet above sea level and amidst the Sierra Nevadas, they’ve built their four-level, no-pumpover gravity flow winery. Their name comes from the 350 year old California Blue Oak tree that watches over the winery, which was also given the prestige of adorning every Twisted Oak bottle.

In a nutshell, some serious wines by some seriously fun people.

The Dread Garnacha Roberts

TASTING NOTES:
A Rioja-style blend of Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha. The consensus on previous vintages seems to indicate a smooth texture, long finish, nice earthy and cherry taste with more dark fruits emerging over time. Consistently a well received blend, in any case.

The condition of having an extra finger is called polydactyly. There are three types of polydactyly: ulnar (next to the pinky), radial (next to the thumb), and central (index, middle, or ring finger). Count Rugen has ulnar polydactyly.

DRINK IT FROM/WITH (conventional option):
Red wine glass with lamb or beef with rich sauces. For something more specific, “How about a Spanish Paprika rubbed Ribeye topped with Applewood smoked bacon and Cabrale Spanish Blue?” Well?
