About Anne Amie Vineyards
Anne Amie Vineyards is located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon and owned by philanthropist Dr. Robert Pamplin. Winemaker Thomas Houseman and grower Peter Ebbers handle the production. Though their primary varieties are in the Pinot family, as a nice compliment, they also grow Old-Vine Estate Müller-Thurgau planted back in 1979. Both LIVE and Salmon Safe certified, Anne Amie crafts some high quality wines and does so sustainably.

Oregonzola

TASTING NOTES:
On the nose you may find lemon drops, kumquat, ripe pineapple, petrol, white pepper, and feijoa. Flavors of candied lemon peel, key lime, and quince stand out. A rich Riesling with a long, dry mineral finish.

2017 - AbV 12.6%, pH 2.94, TA 7.4 g/L, RS 0.74%

BARRELS:
Stainless steel, then bottle aged for at least one year.

You ever see a word and just kinda go, “Ugh, the northwesterners are doing a weird thing again?” I had a very strong reaction of that kind when I read the word “Oregonzola” for whatever reason. Anyway, it’s what you would expect it to be. Gorgonzola variant made by one Ignazio Vella in the late 90’s. Apparently it is cave aged for at least 6 months. It’s produced by a place called Rogue Creamery in Grants Pass, Oregon.
