We are fortunate to have some of Oregon’s best sites, all of which are Salmon Safe and LIVE certified. Our estate vineyards, along with those we purchase from, receive only the minimal required treatments and yields are dramatically reduced in order to give fruit with great depth and complexity.”

TASTING NOTES: Aromas of fresh peaches, mead, star anise, butterscotch, cardamom, and yellow plum. Crème brûlée, orange zest, peach, toffee, and honey on the tongue. The finish is rich and round, creamy with nice volume. Long. (AbV 14%, pH 3.28, TA 6.1 g/L)

BARRELS: 16 months in French oak.

PAIRS WITH: Butter-poached lobster, fennel-rubbed roast chicken, anything covered in truffle cream sauce, lemon-and-garlic-marinated pork loin, duck-fat French fries, seared scallops, Thanksgiving dinner, stroopwafel.

Amityville is a village on Long Island that is only 2.5 square miles. In 1975, the Lutzes bought a home in the village that, one year prior, had six murders in it. After 28 days, the family abandoned the home and all their belongings inside. This would inspire Jay Anson’s The Amityville Horror. If nothing else, the name is incredibly iconic. Just sticks with you.

Allegedly the Lutzes experienced increasing amounts of supernatural incidents leading up to their sudden departure. Their story and adaptations of that story have been heavily scrutinized with time, but have also resulted in numerous movies and books. Nobody living in the house since the Lutzes have reported anything particularly strange, outside of people visiting because of the books and movies. The Lutzes also claimed whatever caused the incidents followed them from the house for a time, though, so who knows.
