About Baldoria: “Once upon a time, three friends, two young, one old met behind a little red door in Paris. They talked about life and being spirit enthusiasts they voiced their frustrations at the inaccessibility of good craft production. Why not produce our own spirits and make them available to everyone? Vermouth emerged as an exciting starting point, so they headed to Italy to find a partner. Three friends became five. They planted wormwood and botanicals; went searching for good wine, and began to tinker. They tinkered, tasted, tinkered, and tasted some more until they had an amazing product. Baldoria was born!!”

TASTING NOTES: “Deep and aromatic, vinous and fruity, and slightly lighter in weight (and sweetness) than many products in this category. Made with both Chardonnay and Nebbiolo wines, it balances its freshly bitter, herbal notes of thyme and summer savory with sweet red fruit and orange peel notes. The bitterness comes from the wormwood, typical of Italian vermouth. As the Baldoria Rosso’s bitterness is somewhat lighter compared to Vermouth’s which makes use of bark and root, the Baldoria Rosso is bolstered with red wine for the tannins and body.” (AbV 18%)

Dungeons and Dragons has quite a few storied locations to it, and few are as well known these days as Baldur’s Gate, in large part due to the critical success of the Baldur’s Gate video game series.

The city of Baldur’s Gate is a thriving port found on the Sword Coast of the continent of Faerûn. Known for its many great walls and gates, it is a center of commerce, trade, and smuggling. Originally known as Gray Harbor, a seafarer of great renown named Balduran took up residence in the town and poured his accumulated wealth into it, building the first walls. Balduran would vanish, setting off on some new voyage shortly after, and the town would continue to grow as more people flocked to it for its security and location.
