Baldoria has transformed the narrative from what vermouth is, to what vermouth can be.
If you’re going to keep one vermouth on hand, make it Rosso. Baldoria Rosso, made with both white Chardonnay and red Nebbiolo grapes, balances its freshly bitter, herbal notes of thyme and summer savory profile with just enough sweet red fruit and orange peel to make it a complex drink all on its own.
Deep and aromatic, vinous and fruity, and slightly lighter in weight (and sweetness) than many products in this category. Made with both Chardonnay and Nebbiolo wines, it balances its freshly bitter, herbal notes of thyme and summer savory with sweet red fruit and orange peel notes. The bitterness comes from the wormwood, typical of Italian vermouth. As the Baldoria Rosso’s bitterness is somewhat lighter compared to Vermouth’s which makes use of bark and root, the Baldoria Rosso is bolstered with red wine for the tannins and body.
Style
Lightly sweet Rosso Vermouth incorporating both Chardonnay and Nebbiolo wines from Piedmont. Separate macerations of botanicals in a hydro alcoholic solution (grain-neutral spirit and water) and wine. Natural sugars are diluted in wine solution, followed by blending of the two macerations. Aging in steel tanks followed by light filtration and bottling. Some natural sedimentation is common across varieties. No Flavors, no extracts, no colorants, no clarifying agents, no preservatives.
Once upon a time, three(5) friends, two young, one old(10) met behind a little red(15) door in Paris. They talked(20) about life and being spirit(25) enthusiasts they voiced their frustrations(30) at the inaccessibility of good(35) craft production. Why not produce(40) our own spirits and make(45) them available to everyone? Vermouth(50) emerged as an exciting starting(55) point, so they headed to(60) Italy to find a partner.(65) Three friends became five. They(70) planted wormwood and botanicals; went(75) searching for good wine, and(80) began to tinker. They tinkered,(85) tasted, tinkered, and tasted some(90) more until they had an(95) amazing product. Baldoria was born!!(100)

I use a lot of vermouth in mixed drinks from Manhattans to Negronis and Boulevardiera. Personally i usually prefer French or Spanish Vermouths (and some i have acquired from Valle de Guadaloupe that are not exported), though Carpano Antica and Cocchi are excellent red (sweet) Italian vermouths. That said, i have never heard of Baldoria in any conversation i have ever had regarding vermouths with other mixologists. So take that for what you will. Personally i dont even consider using or buying a mixer i have not tried. If you want to throw it on ice and have it before dinner, maybe a few slices of orange thrown it, i am sure it would hold up.
