TASTING NOTES:
“Ripe cherry and blackberry aromas dominate with classic cabernet hints of cassis, cedar and cigar box. On the palate, broad, fruity and mouth-watering entry with persistent blackberry fruit, and balanced, intense mid-palate and firm finish.” (AbV 13.3%, pH 3.47, TA 7.3 g/L)

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
Lock, Shock, and Barrel are the young(?) hench-persons of the villainous Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Dressed as a devil, a witch, and a skeleton respectively, their faces are ironically almost identical to the masks they wear, just a bit more sunken. Their whole look has this sense of Halloween-style Americana, the sort of costumes you’d expect to see on a greeting card from the 50’s. Not sure why they travel around in a walking claw-foot tub, but it’s an aesthetic. Anyway, they kidnap Santa Claus so that Jack can take over Christmas, and in a completely unexpected twist that literally no one could have ever seen coming, they give him to Oogie.
