About Beaulieu Vineyard
Founded in 1900, and one of the founding wineries of the Napa Valley wine scene, Beaulieu is the convergence of the pioneering de Latour’s and the master winemaker André Tchelistcheff. TASTING NOTES:
“The 2015 Maestro Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah is a deeply colored wine with vibrant aromas of boysenberry, blueberry, fresh espresso and pepper spice notes. The palate is rich and lush with flavors of juicy, macerated berries, mocha and subtle dried lavender. The tannins are incredibly silky and smooth and the core of bright acidity gives the wine good balance, adding to its overall drinkability now or cellaring for several years.” (AbV 15.1%, pH 3.59, 70% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Syrah)

Genu varum is the scientific name for bowleggedness, a condition where there is an outward bowing at the knees. This gives the legs a curvature reminiscent of an archer’s bow. While most people associate it with prolonged horseback riding, there are a few causes. Outside of rickets and genetics, it turns out that until you are about 3 or 4 years old, you have genu varum. Just think about babies. They always are laying with their legs slightly curved outwards. You never see a baby lying with its legs straight because it’s not natural. If you do see a baby lying with its legs straight, you might want to get glasses. Chances are that’s actually a ventriloquist dummy and not a real baby.
