About Benessere Vineyards
Named after the Italian word for “well-being,” Benessere was founded by the Benish family in 1994 with the planting of thirty vineyard acres of Italian varieties. Within their vineyards, you can find Aglianico, Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Pinot Grigio, Rosato di Sangiovese, Zinfandel, and of course, today’s Moscato di Canelli. With an eclectic and high-quality collection, Benessere is dedicated to providing fine Napa Valley wines out of St. Helena with a warm and casual atmosphere.

Brontosaurridente

TASTING NOTES:
Zinfandel - “Big, briary nose displaying blackberry, black raspberry and baked cherry, with a hint of caramel. Bold and spicy on the palate, the wine offers juicy notes of black fruits such as cherry and plum, and hints of herbs such as thyme and rosemary. The soft tannins beautifully support this delicious wine, which has good acidity and a long finish.” (AbV 14.1%, pH 3.62, TA 5.9 g/L)

Sangiovese - “Deep and profound, almost brooding, our 2016 Sangiovese offers a broad spectrum of flavors including cherry, strawberry-rhubarb and blueberry, with mocha and a hint of sage on the pleasantly lingering finish. The wine is mouth-coating and structured to mature beautifully and grow in complexity for many years.“ (AbV 14.1%, pH 3.92, TA 5.3 g/L)

Sorridente - “Notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, dark and milk chocolate, nutmeg and cocoa powder make this quite an intriguing wine. Each of the four varieties contributes something special to the blend, and the result is a wine of harmonious complexity. On the palate, it is lush and rich, with fine, smooth tannins leading to a clean finish…” (AbV 14.5%, pH 3.88, TA 5.16 g/L)

Sorridente is the Portuguese word for “smiling.” For this offer, however, Sorridente is 53% Syrah, 23% Sangiovese, 19% Zinfandel, and 5% Merlot. Also known as a really good blend. Like really good.

PAIRS WITH (winery recommended):
With the Zinfandel, try prosciutto and melon, cracked Dungeness crab, grilled halibut, or a pasta primavera with peas, fava beans and asparagus. With the Sangiovese, try spring carbonara, pizza with olives and capers, flank steak with arugula-almond pesto, aged Pecorino and Saltimbocca alla Romana. And for the Sorridente, try pasta and pesto, baked ziti, pecorino Toscano or Asiago.
