TASTING NOTES:
“The aromas exhibit scents of black cherries with hints of spice. The flavors are crisp and intense. They range from black cherries to boysenberries and plum skin. The cool climate of the Highlands adds a note of refreshing acidity to the overall profile making this a delicious Pinot to be enjoyed in its youth or aged for several years for a more mature wine experience.” (AbV 14%, 100% Pinot Noir)

The St. Bernard breed of dog is pretty well known. Big, bulky dog with the droopy jowls and eyes. They were bred sometime in the late 1600’s to assist with rescue at a hospice in the Alps. This particular hospice was also located within the Great St Bernard Pass between Italy and Switzerland. The pass, the hospice and the dog breed were all named for the monk St. Bernard of Menthon, the hospice’s founder.
