TASTING NOTES:
“The nose is dark and ripe with tons of earth, spice and cracked black peppercorns. The tannins are substantial, but cleverly camouflaged by the rich, opulent texture and flavors. While it is powerful, there is still a sense of elegance to this wine.”

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
The name Coquerel calls to mind the cockatrice, a mythical dragon-like creature with a rooster’s head. Although, it also makes me think of the cocker spaniel, a sporting dog bred to assist in the hunting of wild game, such as woodcocks. Truth be told, the most mystical thing about the three is how the cocker spaniel’s ears are so dang fluffy. It’s like witchcraft.

Standard red wine glass, paired with perhaps pork tenderloin, burgers, or something spicy.
