TASTING NOTES:
“The 2013 Brown Vineyard Zinfandel has bright aromas of cherries, plums and cinnamon, and hints of oak. This wine is rich and smooth with supple tannins and excellent acid balance. The flavors are cherries and raspberries with hints of vanilla and cinnamon spices. The wine finishes with cherries and a little oak.” (AbV 14.8%)

When you have something to the 2nd power, you say it is squared. If you have something to the 3rd power, you say it is cubed. But why? Well if you don’t remember or didn’t puzzle it out, it’s because of the dimensions. Squares have two, and cubes have three. Why the association with exponents? If you have a square or a cube, all sides are, of course, equal. So when you get the area of a square or the volume of a cube, you are just doing the length of one side to the 2nd and 3rd power respectively.
