About Quinta da Plansel
In the 1970’s, Hans Jörg Böhm began cataloging Portuguese wine varietals and suspected that there were numerous lesser-known or unidentified varieties out there, eventually creating a catalogue of 340 different varietals. His knowledge, passion, and sense of purpose were passed on to his daughter Dorina Lindemann, who herself founded her winery Quinta da Plansel in 1997, focusing primarily on northern Portugal’s Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Franca varieties.
