About Familia Durigutti
Since 2002, Familia Durigutti have been bringing the sensorial world of their home in Mendoza out of Argentina using the region’s grapes. Raised with wine all around them, Hector and Pablo Durigutti must’ve internalized the aromas, ingredients, and flavors as they grew up, setting them on a path to enology. Part of a new generation of Argentinian winemakers, they’ve decided to create a legacy for their own family, starting with them.

“Ripe and racy, with a briary underpinning to the focused beam of raspberry and boysenberry fruit. The finish is layered with mocha and licorice notes.” (AbV 14.5%, pH 3.48, TA 5.75 g/L, RS 2.50 g/L)

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
Are you familiar with the phrase “here be dragons?” You might see it on fantasy maps or pseudo old English maps. Maybe you’d see it in its Latin version: hic sunt dracones. In actuality, the only historical use of this phrase is found on two globes from around 1510. The common phrase that was used is actually “hic sunt leones,” meaning “here be lions.” This was written in areas thought to be dangerous or were unexplored. When you see sea monsters or strange beasts drawn on the maps, as well, it means the same thing; it’s not just the cartographer doodling.
