Pure Gren-tropy

TASTING NOTES: Can’t say anything specific, obviously, but Grenache has some hallmarks.

The first thing is berries. Typically you’ll see raspberry and strawberry as the primary fruit on the tongue, but the second most common thing you see is notes of pepper and spice.

Sometimes there’s an additional earthiness, herbs and licorice, depending on the terroir and if it’s produced from a higher yield.

And the more it has aged, the more leather, tobacco and tar notes sneak into the profile.

VARIETALS: Grenache, all-day!

BARRELS: Signs point to yes.

PAIRS WITH: Grilled meats and hearty dishes.

THAT REMINDS ME OF: Garnacha.

Which is another way of saying Grenache.

Because it’s all Grenache today, baby.
