About Gruet Winery
Founded 1984, Gruet’s specialty is sparkling wines of the Methode Champenoise variety. What is Methode Champenoise you might ask? Well, dear reader, it is the traditional method of fermentation used in the production of sparkling wines and Champagne. The wine ferments once in a barrel, and then undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle. Operating out of New Mexico, the winery’s roots trace back to Gilbert Gruet’s Champagne House in Bethon, France. Family-owned, they’ve reached a place of respect and acclaim among the nation’s top sommeliers.

TASTING NOTES:
Blanc de Noirs: “…aromas of berry and pear, complimented by a rich, round mouth feel on the palate. It finishes with a layer of cream and pleasant, warm toastiness.” (75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay)

Sauvage: “…aromas of bright mineral and citrus notes tickle the nose followed by touches of green apple, lemon and grapefruit. The finish is structured, flavorful and long. “ (100% Chardonnay)

Brut: “…green apple and citrus with mineral notes make for a delightful start to this traditional sparkler. Our Brut NV offers bright, crisp acidity complimented by a touch of yeast on the delightfully long finish.” (75% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir)
