About Hawley Winery & Vineyards
Hawley Winery sits overlooking Dry Creek Valley near Healdsburg, California. Founded in 1996 by John Hawley, his family has been producing unique wines in typically small lots. Their repertoire includes nine different wines, and more than half are only produced in less than 500 cases. In their eyes, these small batches allow them a greater ability to capture the character of a vineyard, the vintage, and its terroir.

TASTING NOTES:
“An aromatic bouquet of blackberry and cassis fill the glass. Flavors of red strawberries, boysenberry and vanilla open to a velvety smooth mouthfeel backed by very little tannin and a good structural acidity.” (AbV 15%, Zinfandel 98% Petite Sirah 2%)

BARRELS:
9 months in French oak.

There was a short-form, somewhat short-lived video service back in 2013 called “Vine.” It was owned by Twitter but had its own ecosystem. Vine ended up super popular, probably kickstarted the whole weird “relatable” brand social media boom and the rise of “influencers.” People were considered “Vine Stars.” People did dumb stuff “for the Vine.” Then, when other services started offering the same sort of platform with small adjustments, brands and “stars” pulled out and Vine collapsed in 2016/2017.
