About J. Dusi Wines
Founded in 2005 by Janell Dusi, J. Dusi Wines is the successor to his grandfather Dante’s Dusi Winery. For over 65 years and across several generations, the Dusi family have carried on with the traditions established in that first Zinfandel vineyard back in 1945, expanding on them, and creating one of the most beloved vineyards in the region. With four generations of Dusi’s contributing between growing and harvest, you can just feel the time and love put into each wine.

TASTING NOTES:
“The story begins here, with Sylvester “SLY” Dusi, my great grandfather who began the Dusi family legacy in Paso Robles in the early 1920’s. With notes of crème brûlée and bubblegum, this medium-bodied wine takes your palate on a journey through history. The start is soft and sultry, then elevates into flavors of dried cherries and cocoa.” (AbV 14.6%, 49% Grenache 28% Tempranillo 23% Syrah)

BARRELS:
16 months in 60% French oak (20% new) and 40% American oak (40% 1-2 year old, 40% neutral).

Star of the Sly Cooper series and one of Sony’s most popular game characters, the eponymous Sly Cooper is a gentleman thief, a la Arsène Lupin, descended from a long line of famous thieves. Granted, they’re pretty much the Robin Hood type of thief that prefers to steal from legitimate criminals. Also, he’s a raccoon. I guess that’s kind of important. Sly’s world is full of animal people, so it isn’t that weird. They took that whole “raccoons look like little burglars” thing and ran with it. The fox is cunning, the turtle is smart, and the hippo is strong. Anyway, across the series, Sly plans and executes heists assisted by childhood friends Bentley and Murray, the brains and brawn of the group respectively. Yes, they are the turtle and hippo, respectively.
