TASTING NOTES:
“2018 added another five weeks of hang time yielding a deeper and darker blackberry and blueberry aroma profile. The typical black cherry, loam-earth and savory white pepper nuances are still showing under the dense fruit. Ripe on entry and elegant in the mid-palate, with a classy and refined mineral finish that promises a delicious glass tonight, or amazing development over the next 5-12 years in the cellar.” (AbV 13.5%, pH 3.87, TA 6.57 g/L)

TANGENTIALLY RELATED FACT to help you make conversation over this wine:
“Golly” can be traced back to 18th century England. “Gosh” and “gee” became popular substitutions for “God” and “Jesus” respectively around the early 20th century. Willikers (which can also be spelled whillickers, whilligers, whillikers, and willickers), however, has no traceable etymology. None. It’s baffling. Just a nonsense interjection someone used that caught on. Who said it? Who knows. Where did they say it? Not a clue. Why did they say it? Hell if I know!
