About Kale Wines
Contrary to first impressions, Kale Wines does not make kale-infused wines. In actuality, one Kale Anderson and his wife Ranko founded the winery as their way of experimenting with Rhône-inspired wines. Specializing in small-production, Kale Wines’ creations utilize a mix of viticultural and enological advancements in addition to ancient techniques to bring out the best of their vineyards. Anderson has worked with Colgin Cellar, Terra Valentine Winery, Cliff Lede Vineyards in Stags Leap District, and eventually Pahlmeyer, where he produced the 2013 Pahlmeyer Cabernet Sauvignon Piéce de Résistance, Pahlmeyer’s first perfect 100-point score from Robert Parker, Jr.
