About Kendric Vineyards
Winemaker Stewart Johnson has been caretaker of the Kendric Johnson vineyard since his first Pinot Noir was planted in 2002. The vineyard specializes in Pinot Noir clones 37, 115, 667, 777, 828, Pommard, and Martini. Each was specifically selected with the belief that they would be a perfect fit for the environment and climate of Marin County. The result of this thoughtful cultivation is a Pinot Noir of significant structure and complexity, one that is made to age and unfolds gradually once opened.

TASTING NOTES:
“…offers up a pure and vibrant bouquet of raspberries, cherries, a touch of cola, marvelously complex soil tones, a touch of bonfire, clove-like spices, a dollop of fresh thyme and a discreet framing of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is deep, pure and full-bodied, with stunning soil signature, a fine core of fruit, ripe, seamless tannins and a long, tangy and still quite youthful finish.”

BARRELS
Aged in French oak barrels, 30% new; were 19 months in barrel on lees without racking.

For example, firefly luciferin includes sulfur, nitrogen, carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen with the chemical formula C11H8N2O3S2. Oxygen is the critical part in creating the characteristic light through the process of oxidization.
