2021 Kukeri - “Juicy and intense, our 2021 Kukeri Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir is silky in texture and complex in flavors, with dark berries and wildflowers, fusing perfectly with an exotic undertone of sweet herbs and toasty vanilla oak. In the glass, dark red hues, darker to the edge, medium weight on the palate with balanced silky mouthfeel and bright refreshing acidity. Long persistent finish.” (AbV 14.20%, pH 3.66)

2022 Daria - “A boutique and elegant wine, our 2022 Daria Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is silky in texture and complex in flavor, with white cherries and hibiscus, fusing perfectly with an exotic herbs and spice notes, with touch of vanilla oak and coffee. In the glass, bright light red hues, darker to the edge, medium weight on the palate balanced with bright acidity. Long and lingering finish.” (AbV 14.1%, pH 3.6)

Kukeri Wines describes Kukeri as relating to “the cycle of life, death, and rebirth,” and so are the Golgari. Plus, it rhymes.

The Golgari, or the Golgari Swarm as they are more formally known, are one of ten guilds that run the world-encompassing city that is Ravnica in Magic: the Gathering. Made up primarily of outcast elves, gorgons, insect people, and zombies, they handle agricultural and waste reclamation duties for the city, though for the most part they just sort of vibe underground. To them, life and death are equally important, fueling each other in an unbroken cycle they revere. Everything must rot, but that rot paves the way for new growth. When they bury their dead, they regrow as plant zombies. So that’s fun.
